CHE SIGNIFICA SOIL CREEP IN INGLESE

Lo scorrimento in discesa, noto anche come creep di terreno o semplicemente creep, è la progressiva lenta progressione della roccia e del suolo in un pendio di bassa qualità; Può anche riferirsi a una deformazione lenta di tali materiali a seguito di pressione e stress prolungati. Il creep può apparire ad un osservatore per essere continuo, ma è veramente la somma di numerosi movimenti minimi e discreti del pendio causati dalla forza di gravità. L'attrito, essendo la forza primaria di resistere alla gravità, viene prodotta quando un corpo di materiale scivola oltre l'altro offrendo una resistenza meccanica tra i due che agisce per contenere oggetti in atto. Come aumenta la pendenza su una collina, la forza gravitazionale che è perpendicolare alla pendenza diminuisce e comporta un minor attrito tra il materiale che potrebbe causare lo scivolamento della pendenza.
