Occidentalizzazione
L'occidentalizzazione o l'occidentalizzazione, anche occidentalizzazione o occidentalizzazione, è un processo in cui le società si sottopongono o adottano la cultura occidentale in settori quali industria, tecnologia, diritto, politica, economia, stile di vita, dieta, abbigliamento, lingua, alfabeto, religione, filosofia e valori . L'occidentalizzazione è stata un'influenza pervasiva e accelerante in tutto il mondo negli ultimi secoli, con alcuni pensatori che l'occidentalizzazione è l'equivalente della modernizzazione, un modo di pensare spesso discusso. Il processo complessivo di occidentalizzazione è spesso a due facce in quanto le influenze occidentali e gli interessi stessi si uniscono con parti della società colpita, almeno, per cambiare verso una società più occidentale, nella speranza di raggiungere la vita occidentale o di alcuni suoi aspetti. Assumere però che le società occidentali non siano colpite o mutate da questo processo e che l'interazione con i gruppi non occidentali sia fuorviante. L'occidentalizzazione può anche essere correlata all'acculturazione e all'inculturazione. L'acculturazione è "il processo di cambiamento culturale e psicologico che si verifica a seguito del contatto tra i gruppi culturali ei loro singoli membri.
