우르두어 또는 우르두어는 주로 파키스탄과 인도에서 사용되는 언어입니다. 파키스탄에서는 국가 언어로 간주되며 인도에서는 24 개 공식 언어 중 하나입니다. 파키스탄의 국적 언어로서의 지위에도 불구하고 파키스탄의 약 1 천만 명의 사람들 만 모국어로 사용합니다. 이 작은 비율은 인도와 파키스탄의 두 독립 국가가 1947 년에 고대 영국 인도가 분할 된 후 북부 인도를 탈출 한 이슬람 난민으로부터 나온 파키스탄의 사회 경제적 엘리트 인 모하 지르 (mohajir) 다. . 우르두어와 힌디어의 유사성 때문에 두 언어의 연사는 일반적으로 양국이 특수한 어휘 나 방언의 차이점을 사용하지 않으면 기본 수준에서 이해할 수 있습니다. 일부 언어 학자들은 그것들을 같은 언어의 일부로 간주하고 정치 - 종교적 이유로 두 가지 언어로 간주한다고 주장합니다.

El urdú o urdu es una lengua hablada fundamentalmente en Pakistán e India. En Pakistán está considerada la lengua nacional, mientras que en India es uno de los 24 idiomas oficiales en el país. A pesar de su condición de lengua nacional de Pakistán, tan solo unos diez millones de personas en ese país lo hablan como lengua materna. Este pequeño porcentaje lo forman los llamados mohajir, la élite social y económica de Pakistán que procede de los refugiados musulmanes que huyeron del norte de la India tras la partición de la antigua India británica en 1947, cuando surgieron los dos estados independientes de India y Pakistán. Debido a la similitud entre el urdú y el hindí, los hablantes de las dos lenguas por lo general pueden entenderse en un nivel básico si ambas partes se abstienen de utilizar el vocabulario especializado o las diferencias dialectales. Algunos lingüistas los consideran como parte de una misma lengua y sostienen que son considerados como dos lenguajes distintos por razones político-religiosas.
