इंग्रजी मध्ये HINDU म्हणजे काय?

हिंदू (उच्चारण (मदत · माहिती)) भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप देशी आहेत की तात्विक, धार्मिक आणि सांस्कृतिक प्रणाली संबद्ध एक ओळख संदर्भित. भारताच्या संविधानात वापरल्याप्रमाणे, "हिंदू" हा शब्द कोणत्याही भारतीय धर्माच्या (म्हणजे हिंदू, जैन, बौद्ध, किंवा सिख धर्म) सर्व व्यक्तींना सूचित करतो. सामान्य वापरामध्ये आज, याचा अर्थ हिंदू धर्माच्या अनुयायांना सूचित करतो. हिंदू शब्द संस्कृत शब्द सिंधुमधून (पर्शियनमधून) मिळवला जातो, भारतीय उपमहाद्वीप (आधुनिक दिवस आणि उत्तर भारत) च्या वायव्य भागात सिंधु नदीचे ऐतिहासिक स्थानिक नाव. गव्हिन फ्लडच्या मते, "हिंदू प्रथम हिंदू प्रथम इंदस (संस्कृत: सिंधू) नदीच्या पलीकडे राहणाऱ्या लोकांसाठी फारसी भौगोलिक संज्ञा म्हणून उद्भवते." हिंदू शब्द भौगोलिक शब्दाचा एक भौगोलिक शब्द होता आणि धर्मांचा उल्लेख नव्हता. टर्म हिंदू नंतर काही संस्कृत पाठांमध्ये कधीकधी काश्मीरचे नंतरचे राजारंगीणंगी (हिंदू, इ.स 1450) आणि काही 16 ते 18 व्या शतकातील चैतन्य चरित्रमित्र आणि चैतन्य भागवत यांच्यासह बंगाली गौदिया वैष्णव ग्रंथांसारख्या शब्दांचा वापर केला जातो.

शब्दकोशमध्ये हिंदूंची प्रथम परिभाषा म्हणजे हिंदुधर्माचे पालन करणारा एक व्यक्ती. हिन्दू इतर व्याख्या हिंदुस्थान किंवा भारत एक निवासी किंवा मुळ आहे, हिंदुत्व चिकटणारा एक विशिष्ट हिंदू हिंदू, हिंदू किंवा भारताशी संबंधित आहे.
