Natura, w najszerszym znaczeniu, jest równoznaczna z naturalnym, fizycznym lub materialnym światem lub wszechświatem. "Natura" odnosi się do zjawisk świata fizycznego, a także do życia w ogóle. W różnych zastosowaniach słowa dzisiaj "natura" często odnosi się do geologii i przyrody.
