Circuito eletrônico
Um circuito eletrônico é composto de componentes eletrônicos individuais, como resistências, transistores, capacitores, indutores e diodos, conectados por fios condutores ou traços através dos quais a corrente elétrica pode fluir. A combinação de componentes e fios permite que várias operações simples e complexas sejam realizadas: os sinais podem ser amplificados, os cálculos podem ser realizados e os dados podem ser movidos de um lugar para outro. Em um circuito integrado ou IC, os componentes e interconexões são formados no mesmo substrato, tipicamente um semicondutor, como o silício ou arseneto de gálio. Breadboards, perfboards e stripboards são comuns para testar novos designs. Eles permitem que o designer faça mudanças rápidas no circuito durante o desenvolvimento. Um circuito eletrônico geralmente pode ser categorizado como um circuito analógico, um circuito digital ou um circuito de sinal misto.
