Na linguística, o termo conjunta tem três usos distintos: ▪ Um conjunto é um adjunto que adiciona informações à sentença que não é considerada parte do conteúdo proposicional, mas que conecta a sentença com partes anteriores do discurso. Por mais raro que isso seja, conjunções também podem se conectar às seguintes partes do discurso. ▪ Estava chovendo. Portanto, não fomos nadar. ▪ Foi ensolarado. No entanto, ficamos lá dentro. ▪ Você é um idiota. Ainda assim, eu te amo do fundo do meu coração. ▪ Uma estrutura de coordenação conecta duas palavras, frases ou cláusulas, geralmente com a ajuda de uma conjunção de coordenação: ▪ comprada. ▪ Pegue duas delas e ligue-me pela manhã. ▪ Uma forma de verbo, por exemplo, as terminações verbais conjuntas do irlandês antigo ou o humor conjunta das línguas algonquianas.
