Cotillion
O cotillão é um tipo de dança social modelada que se originou na França no século 18. Foi originalmente composto por quatro casais em uma formação quadrada, o precursor da quadrilha; Nos Estados Unidos, a dança quadrada, onde as "figuras" são chamadas em voz alta pelo chamador, é uma forma de contestação rural que também desceu do cotilhão urbano. Seu nome, do francês cotillon, "anágua", refletiu o flash das anáguas enquanto os parceiros mudaram.
