Nutt., Veronica virginica L.) é um wildflower nativo dos Estados Unidos. Veronicastrum virginicum é uma ervaceira ereca, preta, que cresce 80-200 cm de altura. As folhas são serrilhadas e dispostas em espículas de 3-7 em torno do caule. A inflorescência é erecta com racemes esbeltos e parecidos com espiga. Os estames estão lotados e sobressaem de uma forma semelhante a uma escova perpendicular ao raceme. As corolas são brancas e são aproximadamente 2 mm. em comprimento. Estas plantas florescem de meados do verão até o início do outono. A Raiz de Culver é freqüentemente encontrada em pradarias molhadas para mesicidade úmida e às vezes por locais húmidos de terras altas.
