Delegitimização

A delegtimização é o processo sociopsicológico que mina ou marginaliza uma entidade ao apresentar julgamentos de valor como fatos que são interpretados para desvalorizar a legitimidade. É um mecanismo auto-justificador, com o objetivo final de justificar o dano de um outgroup. O conceito se aplica a um amplo espectro de contextos sociais que vão desde disputas sobre entidades políticas até doenças crônicas.
