Um aviso não é uma unidade de sinais semióticos, mas uma construção abstrata que permite aos sinais atribuir e comunicar relações específicas, repetitivas, entre, entre objetos, assuntos e declarações. O termo formação discursiva descreve conceitualmente as comunicações regulares que produzem tais discursos.
