Discurso

O discurso denota comunicações escritas e faladas, tais como: ▪ Na análise semântica e discursiva: uma generalização do conceito de conversa em todas as modalidades e contextos. ▪ A totalidade da linguagem codificada utilizada em um determinado campo de investigação intelectual e de prática social, como discurso jurídico, discurso médico, discurso religioso, etc. ▪ No trabalho de Michel Foucault, e dos teóricos sociais que ele inspirou: o discurso descreve "uma entidade de seqüências, de sinais, na medida em que são enunciados". Um aviso não é uma unidade de sinais semióticos, mas uma construção abstrata que permite aos sinais atribuir e comunicar relações específicas, repetitivas, entre, entre objetos, assuntos e declarações. Portanto, um discurso é composto de seqüências semióticas entre e entre objetos, assuntos e declarações. O termo formação discursiva descreve conceitualmente as comunicações regulares que produzem tais discursos. Como filósofo, Foucault aplicou a formação discursiva nas análises de grandes corpos de conhecimento, como economia política e história natural.
