O Real Site de San Lorenzo de El Escorial é uma residência histórica do Rei da Espanha, na cidade de San Lorenzo de El Escorial, a cerca de 45 quilômetros a noroeste da capital, Madrid, na Espanha. É um dos sítios reais espanhóis e funciona como um mosteiro, palácio real, museu e escola. Há outra cidade, a 2.06 km mais abaixo do vale, chamada 'El Escorial'. O Escorial compreende dois complexos arquitetônicos de grande significado histórico e cultural: o próprio mosteiro real e La Granjilla de La Fresneda, uma pousada de caça real e um retiro monástico a cerca de cinco quilômetros de distância. Estes sites têm uma natureza dupla; isto é, durante os séculos XVI e XVII, foram lugares em que o poder da monarquia espanhola e a predominância eclesiástica da religião católica em Espanha encontraram uma manifestação arquitetônica comum. El Escorial foi, ao mesmo tempo, um mosteiro e um palácio real espanhol. Originalmente uma propriedade dos monges hieronymitas, agora é um mosteiro da Ordem de Santo Agostinho.
