O QUE SIGNIFICA HENRY'S LAW EM INGLÊS
Lei de Henry
Na física, a lei de Henry é uma das leis de gases formuladas por William Henry em 1803. Ele afirma: "A uma temperatura constante, a quantidade de um gás dado que se dissolve em um determinado tipo e volume de líquido é diretamente proporcional à pressão parcial desse gás em equilíbrio com esse líquido ". Uma maneira equivalente de declarar a lei é que a solubilidade de um gás em um líquido é diretamente proporcional à pressão parcial do gás acima do líquido. Um exemplo cotidiano da lei de Henry é dado por refrigerantes carbonatados. Antes que a garrafa ou a lata de bebida carbonatada seja aberta, o gás acima da bebida é dióxido de carbono quase puro a uma pressão ligeiramente superior à pressão atmosférica. A própria bebida contém dióxido de carbono dissolvido. Quando a garrafa ou lata é aberta, parte deste gás escapa, dando o silvo característico. Uma vez que a pressão parcial do dióxido de carbono acima do líquido é agora mais baixa, um pouco de dióxido de carbono dissolvido sai da solução como bolhas. Se um copo da bebida for deixado ao ar livre, a concentração de dióxido de carbono em solução entrará em equilíbrio com o dióxido de carbono no ar, e a bebida será "plana".
