Lund
Lund (pronunciação sueca: (escute)) é uma cidade na província de Scania, sul da Suécia. A cidade tem 82.800 habitantes em 2010, de um total municipal de 110.824. É a sede do município de Lund, Condado de Skåne. Acredita-se que a cidade tenha sido fundada em torno de 990, quando a Scania pertencia à Dinamarca. Em breve, tornou-se um importante centro cristão da região do Mar Báltico, numa época em que a área ainda era uma área de fronteira para a missão cristã, e na Escandinávia e especialmente na Dinamarca até a Idade Média. A partir de 1103 foi a sede de um arcebispo. No centro da cidade fica a imponente Catedral de Lund, construída em 1090-1145. A Universidade de Lund, criada em 1666, é hoje uma das maiores instituições de educação e pesquisa da Escandinávia.
