Lusácia
Lusácia é uma região histórica da Europa Central. Ele se estende dos rios Bóbr e Kwisa a leste até o vale do Elba no oeste, hoje localizado nos estados alemães da Saxônia e Brandemburgo, bem como nas voivodias da Baixa Silésia e Lubusz do oeste da Polônia. Após a conquista da Alemanha Oriental pelo exército soviético e a divisão em 1945, a parte oriental de Lusácia ao longo do rio Neisse Lusatiês foi entregue à Polônia. Na parte polonesa é falada polonês, e na parte alemã, alemão, superior e inferior sorábico. A maior cidade de Lusácia é Cottbus / Chóśebuz. O nome deriva da palavra sorábica luzicy que significa "pântanos" ou "aguarela".
