Na engenharia elétrica, a susceptância é a parte imaginária da admissão. O inverso da admissão é impedância e a parte real da admissão é a condutância. Nas unidades SI, a susceptância é medida em siemens. Oliver Heaviside definiu pela primeira vez esta propriedade, que ele chamou de permissão, em junho de 1887.
