Q-boats, também conhecidos como Q-boats, navios de chamariz, navios de serviço especial ou navios misteriosos, eram navios mercantes fortemente armados com armamento escondido, projetados para atrair submarinos para fazer ataques de superfície. Isso deu a Q-ships a chance de abrir fogo e afundá-los. O ethos básico de cada Q-ship era ser um lobo com roupas de ovelha.
