A ocidentalização ou a ocidentalização, também a ocidentalização ou a ocidentalização, é um processo pelo qual as sociedades adotam ou adotam cultura ocidental em áreas como indústria, tecnologia, direito, política, economia, estilo de vida, dieta, roupas, linguagem, alfabeto, religião, filosofia e valores. . A ocidentalização tem sido uma influência penetrante e acelerada em todo o mundo nos últimos séculos, com alguns pensadores assumindo que a ocidentalização é o equivalente à modernização, uma maneira de pensar que muitas vezes é debatida. A ocidentalização também pode ser relacionada à aculturação e à inculturação. A aculturação é "o processo de mudança cultural e psicológica que ocorre como resultado do contato entre grupos culturais e seus membros individuais.
