Odisseu - na mitologia grega, o rei Ítaca; herói de Homer's Odyssey. Ele era filho de Laertes e sua esposa Antyklei. De acordo com o mito foi o mais engenhoso dos reis que participaram da Guerra de Tróia, o autor do truque, graças ao qual os gregos ganharam a guerra - cavalo de Tróia. Ao retornar a Ítaca, ele experimentou muitas aventuras. Ele permaneceu leal a sua esposa Penélope, embora a odiada ninfa de Kalipso lhe oferecesse imortalidade. Ao lado de Heracles e Theseus, ele é o herói mais famoso dos mitos e lendas gregas. O filho de Odisseu era Telemach.

Odyseusz – w mitologii greckiej król Itaki; bohater Odysei Homera. Uchodził za syna herosa Laertesa i jego małżonki Antyklei. Według mitu był najprzebieglejszym z królów biorących udział w wojnie trojańskiej, autorem podstępu, dzięki któremu Grecy wygrali wojnę – konia trojańskiego. W podróży powrotnej do Itaki przeżył wiele przygód. Do końca pozostał wierny swej żonie Penelopie, choć zakochana w nim nimfa Kalipso oferowała mu nieśmiertelność. Obok Heraklesa i Tezeusza jest najbardziej znanym bohaterem greckich mitów i legend. Synem Odyseusza był Telemach.
