Appurtenances este un termen pentru ceea ce apartine si merge cu altceva, cu apartenenta fiind mai putin semnificativa decat ceea ce apartine. Cuvântul vine în cele din urmă din latina appertinere, "to appertain". Într-un context legal, o dispoziție ar putea, de exemplu, să se refere la o curte din spate care se află în casă învecinată. Ideea exprimată este că curtea din spate "aparține" casei, care este cea mai semnificativă dintre cele două.
