Forte armate
Forțele armate ale unei țări sunt apărarea guvernului, forțele de luptă și organizațiile. Ele există pentru a susține politicile externe și interne ale corpului lor de conducere și pentru a apăra acel organism și națiunea pe care o reprezintă de agresorii externi și interni. În general, termenii "forțe armate" și "militari" sunt tratate adesea sinonim, deși în uz tehnic se face uneori o distincție în care forțele armate ale unei țări pot include atât forțele militare, cât și forțele paramilitare. Forța armată este folosirea forțelor armate pentru a atinge obiectivele politice. Studiul utilizării forțelor armate se numește știință militară. În general vorbind, aceasta presupune considerarea infracțiunii și a apărării la trei "nivele": strategie, artă operațională și tactici.
