Instanțele de asistare sau asistare erau instanțe penale periodice ținute în jurul Angliei și Țării Galilor până în 1972, când, împreună cu ședințele trimestriale, au fost desființate de Actul Curții din 1971 și înlocuite cu o singură Curte permanentă a Coroanei. Asistenții au auzit cele mai grave cazuri care i-au fost încredințate de sesiunile trimestriale, în timp ce cele mai multe infracțiuni minore au fost tratate sumar de către judecătorii de pace în sesiunile minore. Cuvântul "Assize" se referă la ședințele sau sesiunile judecătorilor, cunoscuți sub numele de "judecători de asistare", care au fost judecători ai diviziei de înalți rege a Înaltei Curți de Justiție, care a călătorit în cele șapte circuite ale Angliei și Țării Galilor, pe comisiile " și terminator ", înființarea instanțelor și a comisiilor de chemare la diferitele orașe de asistare.
