Astrologia sau astromanția constă în mai multe sisteme de divinație bazate pe premisa că există o relație între fenomenele astronomice și evenimentele din lumea umană. Multe culturi au acordat importanță evenimentelor astronomice, iar indienii, chinezii și mayașii au dezvoltat sisteme elaborate de predicție a evenimentelor terestre din observațiile celeste. În Occident, astrologia constă cel mai adesea dintr-un sistem de horoscoape care intenționează să explice aspecte ale personalității unei persoane și să prezică evenimentele viitoare în viața lor bazându-se pe pozițiile soarelui, lunii și a altor obiecte celeste în momentul nașterii lor. Majoritatea astrologilor profesioniști se bazează pe astfel de sisteme. 83 În toată istoria sa, astrologia a fost considerată o tradiție științifică. A fost acceptată în contexte politice și academice și a fost legată de alte studii, cum ar fi astronomia, alchimia, meteorologia și medicina.
