Diegesis este un stil de povestire a ficțiunii care prezintă o viziune interioară a unei lumi și este: ▪ acea lume însuși experimentată de personajele din situații și evenimente ale narațiunii ▪ spune, reamintește, spre deosebire de a arăta, a pune în aplicare. În diegeză naratorul povestește povestea. Naratorul prezintă cititorilor sau publicului acțiunile personajelor.
