O unitate DI, caseta DI, caseta directa sau simplu DI este un dispozitiv utilizat in mod obisnuit in studiourile de inregistrare pentru a conecta un semnal de inalta impedanta, linie, semnal dezechilibrat la o intrare echilibrata la nivelul microfonului cu impedanta joasa, de obicei prin conector XLR. DI-urile sunt frecvent utilizate pentru a conecta o chitară electrică sau un bas electric la o intrare a microfonului consolei de amestecare. DI efectuează potrivirea nivelului, echilibrarea și tamponarea activă sau impedanța pasivă / punerea în legătură a impedanței pentru a minimiza zgomotele, distorsiunile și buclele la sol. Dulapurile DI sunt utilizate pe scară largă în sistemele PA profesionale și semi-profesionale și în studiourile de înregistrare a sunetului.
