Mover-ul nemijlocit sau primul motor este un concept filosofic descris de Aristotel ca o cauză primară sau "mișcătoare" a întregii mișcări în univers. Așa cum este implicit în denumire, "moverul nemișcat" se mișcă și în alte lucruri, dar nu este el însuși mișcat de orice acțiune anterioară. În Cartea 12 a metafizicii sale, Aristotel descrie că mișcătorul nemișcat este perfect frumos, indivizibil și contemplând numai contemplarea perfectă: contemplarea însăși. El echivalează acest concept și cu Active Intellect. Acest concept aristotelian își are rădăcinile în speculațiile cosmologice ale celor mai vechi filosofi greci "Pre-Socratici" și a devenit foarte influent și a fost inspirat pe scară largă în filosofia și teologia medievală. Sfântul Toma Aquinas, de exemplu, a elaborat pe Moverul nemijlocit în quinque viae.
