Freebase
Freebase este o bază vastă de cunoștințe bazată pe colaborări, constând din metadate compuse în principal de membrii comunității. Este o colecție online de date structurate recoltate din mai multe surse, inclusiv contribuții individuale "wiki". Freebase își propune să creeze o resursă globală care să permită accesul mai eficient la informații comune. Acesta a fost dezvoltat de compania americană de software Metaweb și funcționează în mod public începând cu luna martie 2007. Metaweb a fost achiziționat de Google într-o vânzare privată anunțată pe 16 iulie 2010. Graficele de cunoștințe Google sunt alimentate în parte de Freebase. Datele Freebase sunt disponibile gratuit pentru utilizare comercială și necomercială în cadrul unei licențe Creative Commons Attribution Attribution (Licență de atribuire Creative Commons), iar programatorii au la dispoziție un API deschis, un punct final pentru RDF și o bază de date pentru baze de date.
