Hibrid (biologie)
În biologie un hibrid este un pui de două animale sau plante de diferite rase, rase, soiuri, specii sau genuri. Folosind terminologia genetică, aceasta poate fi definită după cum urmează. ▪ În general, hibridul este sinonim cu heterozygos: orice urmaș care rezultă din reproducerea a două persoane distincte genetic ▪ un hibrid genetic poartă două alele diferite ale aceleiași gene ▪ un hibrid structural rezultă din fuziunea gameților care au structură diferită la cel puțin un cromozom ca rezultat al anomaliilor structurale ▪ un hibrid numeric rezultă din fuziunea gameților cu numere diferite de haploide de cromozomi ▪ un hibrid permanent este o situație în care se produce numai genotipul heterozygos, deoarece toate combinațiile homozigote sunt letale. Din perspectiva taxonomică, hibridul se referă la: ▪ descendenți proveniți din interbreedierea între două specii de animale sau specii de plante. A se vedea și specia hibrid. ▪ Hibrizii între diferite subspecii dintr-o specie sunt cunoscuți ca hibrizi intra-specifici.
