O ideologie este un set de idei conștiente și inconștiente care constituie scopurile, așteptările și acțiunile. O ideologie este o viziune normativă cuprinzătoare, o modalitate de a privi lucrurile, așa cum sa argumentat în mai multe tendințe filosofice, și / sau un set de idei propuse de clasa dominantă a unei societăți tuturor membrilor acestei societăți, așa cum se sugerează în unele marxiste și Conturi teoretice critice. În timp ce conceptul de "ideologie" descrie un set de idei larg răspândite în domeniul normativ, ideologia este mai puțin cuprinzătoare decât cea exprimată în concepte, cum ar fi o viziune asupra lumii, imaginar și ontologie.
