Luang Prabang sau Louangphrabang (Lao: ຫຼວງ ພຣະ ບາງ, literalmente: "Imaginea regalului Buddha (în mlaștina Frica de dispariție)" este un oraș situat în centrul nordic al Laosului, la confluența râului Nam Khan și a râului Mekong, km nord de Vientiane. Este capitala provinciei Luang Prabang. Populația orașului este de aproximativ 50.000. Orașul era fostul capital al unui regat cu același nume. De asemenea, era cunoscută prin numele antic Chiang Thong. Până la preluarea comunistă în 1975, a fost capitala regală și sediul guvernului Regatului Laos. Este un sit al Patrimoniului Mondial UNESCO. Partea principală a orașului este formată din patru drumuri principale situate pe o peninsulă dintre râurile Nam Khan și Mekong.
