Mehndi sau Henna este o pastă care este cumpărată într-un tub în formă de conul și este făcută în modele pentru bărbați și femei. De asemenea, derivă din cuvântul sanscrit mendhikā. Folosirea mehndi și a turmericului este descrisă în cele mai vechi cărți ritualice hinduse vedice. Acesta a fost inițial folosit numai pentru palmele femeilor și niciodată pentru bărbați, dar odată cu trecerea timpului, este mai natural pentru bărbați să o poarte.
