Ordinul de ordine sau ordinea peck este termenul colocvial pentru un sistem ierarhic de organizare socială. A fost descris pentru început de către Thorleif Schjelderup-Ebbe în 1921 sub termenii germani Hackordnung sau Hackliste și introdus în limba engleză în 1927. Utilizarea inițială a ordinului de hrănire sa referit la expresia dominanței la găini. Dominanța la puii este susținută de diverse comportamente, inclusiv pecking, care a fost folosit de Schjelderup-Ebbe drept o măsură a dominației și a ordinii de conducere. În articolul său în limba germană din 1924, el a menționat că "apărarea și agresiunea la găină se realizează cu ciocul".
