Miscarea sau pedesisul mișcării browniene este mișcarea aleatorie a particulelor suspendate într-un fluid care rezultă din coliziunea lor cu atomii sau moleculele rapide din gaz sau lichid. Termenul "mișcare browniană" se poate referi și la modelul matematic folosit pentru a descrie astfel de mișcări aleatorii, adesea numit teorie a particulelor. Acest fenomen de transport este numit după botanistul Robert Brown.
