Fizică
Fizica (din greaca veche: φυσική (ıπιστημη) phusikḗ (epistḗmē) "cunoașterea naturii", din natura "fizică") este știința naturală care implică studiul materiei și mișcarea ei prin spațiu și timp, ca energie și forță. În general, analiza generală a naturii, efectuată pentru a înțelege cum se comportă universul. Fizica este una dintre cele mai vechi discipline academice, probabil cea mai veche prin includerea astronomiei. De-a lungul ultimelor două milenii, fizica a făcut parte din filozofia naturală, alături de chimie, anumite ramuri ale matematicii și biologiei, dar în timpul Revoluției Științifice din secolul al XVII-lea, științele naturale au apărut ca programe unice de cercetare în sine. Fizica intersectează cu multe domenii interdisciplinare de cercetare, cum ar fi biofizica și chimia cuantică, iar limitele fizicii nu sunt definite rigid. Ideile noi în fizică explică adesea mecanismele fundamentale ale altor științe, deschizând în același timp noi căi de cercetare în domenii precum matematica și filosofia.
