Pyraloidea
Pyraloidea este o superfamilie de molii care conține aproximativ 16.000 de specii descrise în întreaga lume și, probabil, cel puțin mai multe rămân să fie descrise. Ele sunt în general destul de mici molii. Această superfamilie a folosit pentru a conține Hyblaeidae, Thyrididae, Alucitidae, Pterophoridae și Pyralidae. În prezent, Crambidae sunt de obicei separate de Pyralidae, dar primele patru familii sunt acum separate ca o superfamilie distinctă. Unele genuri încă sfidează clasificarea ușoară și au fost atribuite în mod diferit la Crambidae sau Pyralidae. Unele specii trăiesc parazit în cuibărul de furnici, dau pe insecte scalabile sau trăiesc în cuiburile albinelor. Larvele Acentropinae sunt adaptate la viața sub apă și anumite Phycitinae și Pyralinae sunt adaptate la medii foarte uscate, iar larvele lor se hrănesc cu produse alimentare stocate. Alții se hrănesc cu detrimentul animalelor, cum ar fi caria și fecalele.
