Date despre radiații carbonice este o tehnică radiometrică care folosește decăderea de carbon-14 pentru a estima vârsta materialelor organice, cum ar fi lemn și piele, până la aproximativ 58.000 până la 62.000 de ani înainte de prezent. Carbon dating a fost prezentată lumii de către Willard Libby în 1949, pentru care a primit Premiul Nobel pentru Chimie.
