Redstart
Redstarts sunt un grup de mici păsări din lumea veche. Ei au fost clasificați anterior în familia antispasmului, dar acum sunt cunoscuți ca făcând parte din familia Muscicapidae din lumea veche. În prezent, acestea sunt tratate în patru genuri, genul vechi roșu Phoenicurus, genurile apropiate Chaimarrornis și Rhyacornis și genul Hodgsonius mai puțin apropiat. Acestea sunt păsări insectivore pentru hrănire la sol, dintre care majoritatea au cozia roșie care îi conferă numele grupului; "start" este reflexul modern englezesc al limbii engleze mijlocii, steortul englezesc vechi, coada unui animal. Cele mai multe specii sunt migratorii, speciile nordice fiind migranți la distanțe lungi, iar speciile mai sudice sunt adesea migranți de altitudine care cresc la altitudine mare și se deplasează mai jos în timpul iernii. Acestea sunt insectivore mici, masculii mai colorați în culori vii în diverse combinații de roșu, albastru, alb și negru, femelele de culoare maroniu deschis, cu coada roșie.
