Michael Servetus
Michael Servetus, cunoscut și ca Miguel Servet, Miguel Serveto, Revés sau Michel de Villeneuve, a fost un teolog spaniol, medic, cartograf și umanist renascentist. El a fost primul european care descrie corect funcția circulației pulmonare. El a fost un politm în multe științe: matematică, astronomie și meteorologie, geografie, anatomie umană, medicină și farmacologie, precum și jurisprudență, traducere, poezie și studiul științific al Bibliei în limbile sale originale. El este renumit în istoria câtorva dintre aceste domenii, în special medicina și teologia. El a participat la reforma protestantă și, mai târziu, a dezvoltat o hristologie nontrinitară. Condamnat atât de catolici, cât și de protestanți, a fost arestat la Geneva și ars în mână ca eretic, prin ordin al consiliului de guvernământ protestant al orașului.
