Sniper
Un lunetist este un sportiv bine instruit, care opereaza singur, intr-o pereche sau cu o echipa de lunetist, pentru a mentine contactul vizual apropiat cu inamicul si a angaja obiectivele din pozitii ascunse sau distante care depasesc capacitatile de detectie ale personalului inamic. Aceste echipe de lunetiști funcționează independent, cu puțin sprijin pentru activitățile de luptă din partea unităților părinte. Sniperii au, de obicei, o pregătire extrem de selectivă și specializată și folosesc puști și optică cu aplicații de înaltă precizie / specială și au adesea active sofisticate de comunicare pentru a alimenta informații valoroase despre luptă în unitățile lor.
