Usman dan Fodio
Shaihu Usman dan Fodio, născut pe Usuman ɓii Foduye, a fost profesor religios, scriitor și promotor islamic și fondator al califatului Sokoto. Dan Fodio a fost unul dintr-o clasă de Fulani etnic urbanizat care trăiește în statele Hausa în ceea ce este astăzi nordul Nigeriei.
