Un whitelist este o listă sau un registru al celor cărora li se acordă un anumit privilegiu, serviciu, mobilitate, acces sau recunoaștere. Persoanele de pe listă vor fi acceptate, aprobate sau recunoscute. Lista albastră este inversul listei negre, practica identificării celor care sunt negate, nerecunoscute sau ostracizate.
