Leviticus, ebraică: ויקרא (Wajikra), "din primele cuvinte ale cărții," Leviticul Leutikon din Septuaginta, referitor la leviți) - a treia carte a Scripturii (înainte de aceasta este Cartea Exodului) și Numele cărții derivă din tema sa principală, și anume descrierea riturilor și comportamentelor asociate cu închinarea lui Yahweh, legea și descrierea jertfelor pentru păcate. Fiți sfinți deoarece sunt sfânt! Din acest motiv, capitolele 17-26 sunt numite așa-numitul Cod al Sfințeniei.

Księga Kapłańska, Trzecia Księga Mojżeszowa, (hebr. ויקרא (Wajikra) – „zawołał" – od pierwszych słów księgi, gr. Λευιτικόν Leuitikon z Septuaginty, w nawiązaniu do Lewitów) – trzecia księga Pisma Św. (przed nią jest Księga Wyjścia) i Pięcioksięgu, a tym samym Starego Testamentu. Nazwa księgi pochodzi od jej głównego tematu, czyli opisu obrzędów i zachowań związanych z oddawaniem czci Jahwe, prawa oraz opisu ofiar za grzechy. Wydarzeń opisano w Księdze Kapłańskiej bardzo mało. Jednymi z najważniejszych słów Księgi Kapłańskiej są wielokrotnie powtarzane słowa Bądźcie świętymi, bo Ja jestem święty!. Z tego też powodu rozdziały 17-26 wyodrębnia się jako tzw. Kodeks Świętości.
