Basoche
Die Basoche war die Gilde der Rechtsanwälte des Pariser Hofsystems unter der vorrevolutionären französischen Monarchie, aus der die gesetzlichen Vertreter rekrutiert wurden. Es war eine alte Institution, deren Wurzeln unklar sind. Das Wort selbst stammt aus der lateinischen Basilika, der Art des Gebäudes, in dem der Rechtshandel im Mittelalter praktiziert wurde. Es stammte aus der Zeit, als der Beruf des Beschaffungswesens noch frei war in dem Sinne, daß Personen, die diesen Dienst an Dritte weitergaben, wenn dies gesetzlich zulässig war, noch keine öffentlichen und ministeriellen Offiziere waren. Zu diesem Zweck wurde in der Nähe jedes bedeutenden juristischen Zentrums eine Gruppe von Beamten, das heißt von den juristischen Personen, die zunächst die gleichgültigen Vertretungen oder Befürworter füllen würden, festgestellt. Das war der Ursprung der Basoche des Pariser Parles; Die sich natürlich in eine Vergoldung verwandelte, wie andere Berufe und Trades im Mittelalter.
