Abweichung (Soziologie)
In der Soziologie beschreibt Abweichung Handlungen oder Verhaltensweisen, die gegen soziale Normen verstoßen, einschließlich formell verordnete Regeln, sowie informelle Verletzungen sozialer Normen. Es ist der Zweck von Soziologen, Psychologen, Psychiater und Kriminologen zu studieren, wie diese Normen geschaffen werden, wie sie sich im Laufe der Zeit ändern und wie sie durchgesetzt werden. Normen sind Regeln und Erwartungen, durch die Mitglieder der Gesellschaft konventionell geführt werden. Abweichung ist eine Abwesenheit der Übereinstimmung mit diesen Normen. Soziale Normen unterscheiden sich von Kultur zu Kultur. Zum Beispiel kann eine abweichende Tat in einer Gesellschaft begangen werden, die dort eine soziale Norm bricht, aber für eine andere Gesellschaft normal sein kann. Wenn man die Abweichung als Verletzung sozialer Normen betrachtet, haben die Soziologen es als "jeden Gedanken, ein Gefühl oder eine Handlung, die Mitglieder einer sozialen Gruppe beurteilen, eine Verletzung ihrer Werte oder Regeln zu sein" oder Gruppen "Verhalten, die gegen Definitionen von angemessenen und Unangemessenes Verhalten, das von den Mitgliedern eines sozialen Systems geteilt wird.
