Domestic cattle

Hausrind

The house-bark or plain beef is the domesticated form of Eurasian Auerochsen. It was first domesticated because of its flesh, later also because of its milk and achievement as draft animal. Since then humans have bred a number of different cattle races, in which also wild cattle were partly crossed. The Zebus are derived from the Indian subspecies of the Auerochsen. In the delimitation of races of zebuic origin, domestic cattle, which are common in Europe, are called taurine cattle. Zebus were also led by some authors as their own kind, which is not justified by the similarity with the remaining Auerochs types and the unrestricted crucifibility of the Zebus with taurine house-riders. Above all in Asia other animals have been domesticated, which are derived from other species, such as the Balirind from the Banteng, the Gayal from the Gaur and the Hausyak from the Wildyak. In contrast to the species mentioned so far, belonging to the genus Bos, the water buffalo belongs to the genus Bubalus. From it, the housebug was bred.
