WHAT DOES ROLLBACK MEAN IN GERMAN?

Rollback refers to the "reset" of the individual processing steps of a transaction in computer systems. The system is thus completely returned to the state before the start of the transaction. Rollback is typically triggered in the event of a failure, for example, if a processing step can not be performed correctly in the relevant transaction. In the normal process, changes to the transaction are made permanent with a "commit". Rollbacks play an important role, especially in data bank systems and other transactional systems. A transaction is a sequence of related operations on a database. A transaction can move the database from one consistent state to another consistent state.
