कुमाऊँ, कनावर और देहरादुन तथा आंध्र और महाराष्ट्र प्रदेश के अहमदनगर, औरंगाबाद, पुना और नासिस आदि स्थानों
में भी इसकी उपज होती है । बंगाल में पानी अधिक बरसने के कारण इसकी बेल वैसी नहीं बढ़ सकती । बिहार प्रदेश में
तिरहुत और दानापुर में इसकी कुछ टट्टियाँ तैयार की
जाती है ।
अंगुर की बेल होती है जो टट्टियों पर फैलती है । इसकी
पत्तियाँ कुम्हड़े वा नेनुए की पत्तियों से मिलती जुलती होती
हैं । इसके फल हरे और बैगनी रंग के तथा छोटे, बड़े,
गोल और लबे केई आकार के होते है । कोई नीम के फल की
तरह लंबोतरे और कोई मकोय की तरह गोल होते हैं और
गुच्छो में लगते है । अंगुर की मिठ्स तो प्रसिद्ध ही है ।
भारतवासी इसे 'द्राक्षा' और 'मृद्धीका' के नाम से जानते है ।
चरक और सुश्रुत मे इसका उल्लेख है । पर भारतवर्ष में
इसकी खंती कम होती थी । फल प्रायः बाहर से ही मँगाए
जाते थे । मुसलमान बादशाहों के समय अगुर की ओर अधिक
ध्यान दिया गया । आजकल हिंदुस्तान में सबसे अधिक अंगुर
काश्मीर में होती है जहाँ ये क्वार के महीने में पक्ते हैं । वहाँ
इनकी शराब बनती है और सिरका भी पड़ता है । महाराष्ट्र
देश में जो अंगुर लगाए जाते है उनके कई भेद है, जैसे—
आबी, फकीरी, हबशी, गोलकली साहेबी इत्यादि । अफगानिस्तान, बिलुचिस्तान और सिंध में अंगुर बहुत अधिक और
कई प्रकार के होते है—जैसे, हेटा, किशमिशी, कमलक, हुसैनी
इत्यादि । किशमिशी में बीज नहीं होता । कंधारवाले हेटा
अंगुर को चुना और सज्जीखार के साथ गरम पानी में डुबाकर
'आबजोश' और किशमिशी को धुप में सुखाकर किशमिश
बनाते हैं ।
मुनक्का, जो दवा के काम में आता है, सुखाया हुआ अंगुर है । यह दस्तावर है और ज्वर की प्यास को कम करता है ।
खाँसी के लिये बी अच्छा है । 'द्राक्षारिष्ट' आदि कई आयु—

मुहा०—अंगुर आना = घाव के ऊपर चमड़े की पतली झिल्ली

हुए घाव पर बंधी हुई मांस की झिल्ली का फट जाना ।
अंगुर फटना = दे० 'अंगुर तड़कना' । अंगुर बँधना = घाव के
ऊपर मांस की नई झिल्ली चढ़ना । घाव भरना । अंगुर-
भरना = दे० 'अंगुर बँधना' ।
