प्रकट नहीं कर सकता ।
गूँगे का गुड़ खाना = गूँगे के द्वारा गुड़ का खाया जाना । उ०—
(क) नैनहिं ढुरहिं मोति औ मूँगा । जस गुर खाय रहा है
गूँगा ।—जायसी (शब्द०) । (ख) ज्यों गूँगा गूर खाइकै
स्वाद न सके बखानि ।—तुलसी (शब्द०) ।
विशेष—बहुत लोगों ने विशेषकर उर्दू वालों ने 'गूँगे का गुड़
का मतलब 'गूँगे का दिया हुआ गुड़' समझा है और इसी अर्थ
में इसका प्रयोग भी किया है । ऐसा प्रयोग अशुद्ध है, जैसा
हिंदी कवियों के उदाहरणों से स्पष्ट है ।
