Adsorption is a phenomenon where the concentration increases at the interface of the object from the ambient. Conversely, the phenomenon in which the adsorbed material leaves the interface is called desorption. Adsorption of gas on the surface has been reported since the early 20th century and research on thin two - dimensional gas membranes adsorbed on solid surface has been active recently. Research methods include isothermal adsorption, specific heat measurement, and scattering. Adsorption is divided into physical adsorption and chemical adsorption. Physical adsorption is mainly due to weak interaction force due to Van der Waals force or electrostatic force between adsorbed molecules and atoms composing the adsorbent surface. The adsorption process is a fever. For this reason, adsorption occurs more actively at low temperatures.
