Drupada is based on yoga in the Vedic Mantra of the type of Indian classical music. Baba Bairam Khan, his cousin Zakiruddin and Allabande Khan, continued the tradition of the most antique renditions in Rajput and Mughal rajdabarars. After 5 centuries, Dagar brothers also performed important work in the 19th-20th Century to keep the script of Dhrupad singing. Dhyalagyaki was present even before Khyal Gyyaki.

धृपद या भारतीय शास्त्रीय संगीताच्या प्रकाराचा वैदिक मंत्रांमधील नाद योगावर आधारलेला आहे. अतिशय पुरातन असलेलीही गायन पद्धती बाबा बैरम खान आणि त्यांचे चुलत नातू झाकीरुद्दीन आणि अल्लाबंदे खान ह्यांनी रजपूत आणि मोगल राजदरबारांमध्ये चालू ठेवली. पुढे ५ शतकांनंतरही म्हणजे १९-२०व्या शतकात धृपद गायकी अस्तित्वात ठेवण्याची महत्त्वाची कामगिरी डागर बंधू ह्यांनी केली. ख्यालगायकीच्या आधीही धृपदगायकी अस्तित्वात होती.
